odd dream

I fell asleep on the couch this afternoon while reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and had a dream that I was at work, and also that I had my phone with me for some reason. It was the ringtone I had set to ring whenever Wes called me, and evidently, it still worked even though his number was deleted from my book, so I got really excited and answered it. Of course, I was hiding in the souvenir t-shirt rack so I wouldn't get in trouble for talking on the phone.

I don't even remember what we talked about in the dream, just that when I answered, I could hardly speak, my voice was caught in my throat. We started talking, and he asked me how I was doing, and I said fine. Then he asked me if I'd made any new friends lately, and I'm only assuming he meant of the boy variety, and I said yes, and then he asked me if I had to buy them. I was so freakin' pissed off that I hung up on him.

Then a while later, I don't remember who called who back, pretty sure it was him, but I'm not sure, and I yelled at him for what he'd said 'cause it hurt my feelings, blah blah blah. We talked a while longer, and it wasn't friendly, and I don't know how the phone call ended, mutually or someone hanging up on the other one, but all in all, it wasn't good.

Then, since I was at work, I had to tell everyone about it, but for some reason I had to tell them all when we were busy, so at first we started out standing around behind the registers, then someone went up to the service desk and I had to help them, and I never got a chance to tell anyone 'til the end of the night when we were walking out to our cars, and it was cold and snowy, so we all had to stand outside in the snow to listen to my story.

Man, I woke up in a bad mood towards him. I think it all stemmed from the IM he sent me over Yapoo! a couple nights ago, only it was niceish, just a "hey, you probably don't want to hear from me right now, but I hope everything's going okay with you," type thing. I dunno, just kinda strange. And I missed trivia. Damnit. No matter what I read, even if it's interesting, makes me fall asleep. I'd like to think I got a few more pages into that book than I would have a text book, at least, before dozing off.
